Through voluntarily working at free food distribution services, my aim of Hidden Hunger is to challenge negative stereotypes concerning the current food poverty crisis in Britain.

Certain media sources have adopted an opposing stance to the systems that try to tackle food poverty, which has directly influenced public opinion. In this work I refer to the sense of isolation the service visitors are likely to feel currently within society, whilst also commenting on the government’s lack of support towards the system and their refusal in finding a solution to the crisis. Instead charity based organisations have to provide such services in venues that are readily available.
