Bethany Kane is an independent Curator, Photographer, Founder of Lost Generation Birmingham and Programme Assistant for FORMAT Festival. 

As Founder of Lost Generation Birmingham, Beth has worked with over 50 international photographers and her exhibition projects have been supported by University of Derby, Bene Culture/Art House Birmingham, Vice Magazine UK and Old Blue Last Beer. More recently Beth has received funding from Multistory and Arts Council England to produce Lost Generation IIII for BLAST! Festival 2019. 

Beth has self-published photo books such as Hidden Hunger, Out of Step, Lost Generation I and III and An Archive of My Father's Youth: 80's and 90's Football Culture which are stocked in a number of book stores including The Photographer's Gallery London, Magma Manchester and Rope Press Birmingham. 

As a photographer Beth has exhibited internationally. Her work was included in the UK Young Artists programme and was exhibited in Milan to represent emerging photographers in the UK. Beth has also had solo shows at the Midlands Art Centre, Parkside Gallery Birmingham and Coventry Centre of Contemporary Arts. 

Beth gained employment as Programme Assistant for FORMAT Festival in May 2018 and is based at QUAD Derby.
